Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his unique mix of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and during the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta now, Sunshine is originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician, singing and playing at the local church. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan It was later remixed by many producers and remains the mainstay in her live show. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. In 2005 she took on the role of the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to serve as the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine gained national recognition for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform as part of the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
