Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four children born in Newark the state of New Jersey, on August 9, 1963. Her parents are gospel singers Cissy Houston - n e Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick also was a singing sensation. When she was a little girl, Houston started singing professionally at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark alongside her mom singing on Chaka K's Im Every Woman in 1978. The film and her part in it was not popular, however the soundtrack and her rendition to Dolly's I Will Always Love You were charted for months on the charts and she sold nearly 44 million albums and singles all over the world. In 1993, it was also when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician and father of her sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Around this time her use of drugs was well-documented and she started using it daily by 1996.

Dana Bash is also known by the name of Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is a journalist for the Washington Post and reporter for CNN. Additionally, she produces a number of show on weekends for the channel including Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Her previous work was on NBC, CBS and other famous channels. Bash has received many awards and was named on the Women in Washington Power List by Elle magazine.
